Something is keeping you from being able to move forward and enjoy your life.

You’re out walking the dog and you hear kids screaming. Logically, you know they’re just playing tag at the bus stop, but your body still breaks into a cold sweat. Maybe you smell a particular cologne on someone you pass on the street or hear a certain song in a TV commercial. Without warning, a perfectly average day becomes a replay of a moment you can’t seem to leave in the past.

Most days, you’re functioning—people rely on you to have it together—but just barely. You may take time off work to avoid a trigger, have frequent nightmares, or shut down when emotions run high. When you’re with your family, you’re not really there, because your mind is so distracted, replaying thoughts, conversations, or images—putting you on edge.

You know something happened to you at some point to cause you to react this way to some situations, and you know exactly what those situations are. You may have even talked about it in therapy before. But knowing hasn’t brought you relief.

You might be here because you…

  • Have a specific trigger that gets in the way of living your life fully, and you’re ready to put all this behind you

  • Just experienced a life change—motherhood, a new career, a loss—that stirred up old memories you thought you’d left behind.

  • Replay conversations long after they happened, second-guess yourself and your actions, and worry about how others perceive you.

  • Know why you react to certain things the way you do, but you can’t stop the reaction from happening anyway—it feels out of your control.

  • Want to feel more like yourself and be able to trust what you know, feel, and need, without second-guessing your reality.

  • Don’t want to forget what happened, but want it to stop controlling you.

You’ve already told your story, and it didn’t help you feel better.

Let’s try something different.

How therapy works

Accelerated Resolution Therapy helps your brain remove negative associations with a particular trigger, situation, or event.

Your mind and body are wired to keep you safe, and that's a good thing. It's why they sound the alarm when you encounter something that can cause you harm.

But sometimes an experience you have gets stuck and doesn’t process fully. In that case, the alarm never gets the all-clear on the situation. When that happens, it can start going off in ordinary moments that aren't dangerous. You may even know you’re safe, but your body responds as if there’s danger.

ART uses guided eye movements and imagery to help your body finally register that the threat has passed. You keep the memory and knowledge of what happened, but how it lives in your body changes.

In sessions, we will…

ART is designed to be focused and efficient, but it’s important to me that we have unhurried time to reach the level of depth that’s most effective. The traditional therapy hour doesn't always allow for that. Plus, I don’t want you to feel like you need to rush to fit your healing into a specific timeframe.

An intensive gives you protected time to do the work and to settle afterward before you walk back into everyday life.

I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy exclusively as an intensive service.

Intensive options…

Accelerated Resolution Therapy can help you…

  • Feel free to be fully present in your own life instead of constantly being pulled back into the past.

  • Trust yourself enough to make decisions based on what you need and want, rather than fear, guilt, or self-doubt.

  • Feel safe enough to be yourself, set boundaries, speak honestly, and let other people have their own reactions.

  • Experience relationships based on the person in front of you, rather than unconsciously responding to people through the lens of what happened before.

  • Stop organizing your life around avoiding pain and start making choices based on what actually matters to you.

  • Feel like your future belongs to you again, rather than feeling like your past is deciding what is possible.
