Investment & Insurance Information

I believe in being clear and transparent so you know what to expect before getting started.
Below is an overview of fees and how insurance works in my practice.

  • Individual sessions are $175. Payment is accepted via cash, credit or debit card through a secure client portal.

  • I am in-network with select insurance plans (Aetna, UHC, and Optum). Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your individual benefits.

If you’d like, I can verify your benefits before we schedule so you have a clearer understanding of what to expect.

If I’m not in-network with your plan, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage for out-of-network services varies, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to learn more about your benefits.

Please note that insurance coverage is not guaranteed. You are responsible for understanding your plan, and claims may be processed differently depending on your provider and benefits.

  • Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to cover services. This diagnosis becomes part of your medical record.

Coverage is based on medical necessity, which means insurance may limit the number of sessions or the type of care that is approved.

If a claim is denied or not covered by your insurance, you are responsible for the cost of the session.

If you have any questions about how this may impact your care, I’m happy to talk through it with you.

  • Appointments are reserved specifically for you, and consistent attendance supports the work we do together.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged the full session fee of $175.

If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, there may not be enough time to provide a full session, and the appointment will be considered a late cancellation and charged the full session fee of $175, regardless of whether we are still able to meet.

Insurance does not cover late cancellation or no-show fees, and these will be your responsibility.

These policies are in place to support consistency, protect your reserved time, and allow me to show up fully and reliably for all clients.

  • Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services upon request or when scheduling. This may include related costs associated with your care.

Good Faith Estimates are provided within required timeframes based on when services are scheduled. You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and any related bills.

Please note that a Good Faith Estimate is provided to all clients during the intake process.
